Our founder Valeria Correa wanted to create a brand that spoke about her love for her mom, Marlene Correa, and the strength she had bestowed on her through out life. VALIJO stands for her mother's children:

This is more than just tequila - it is the beginning of a name that will represent the hard work and sacrifice that a single immigrant mom made so that her children could achieve their dreams.
Intentional Taste
And so, Valeria wanted to express her love for Mexico by creating a Tequila that speaks the beauties and culture of her country and represented her family. Each Tequila is distinct, with a flavor so delicious that it is most enjoyed when sipped.

VALIJO is a small batch artisanal tequila made of 100% agave that is produced in the lowlands of Jalisco, in the town of Amatitán! We support women presence in the Alcohol industry and provide opportunities in our local communities for continuing career paths.
